The work of Patricia Fort speaks out, primarily, from a crack. The Mallorca born and Barcelona based artist explores that phrase not only on its outside, but also on its boundaries and its interior in order to create a reality that is, in no way, safe, stable or evident.
In her work, the painting functions as an access door to the contemplation of the characters' own gesture: these are the spaces through which there is nothing better than reality.
In this sense, we observe in the work of Patricia Fort some beings devoid of fixed intention, without premeditated direction, but endowed with a strong intuition. The intuition of the gestures of these protagonists is marked by a deep response of the great categories of language and a search for the unstable.
This voluntary activity is not allowed.
Through this runaway, the artist explores a reality deeply marked by a hidden existence that underlies every in little gesture, that is not seen and that, however, is not to be seen in everything. This sought-after confusion allows us to explore, also, the terrains of the unspeakable; Blur and detract through form and fragmentation.
The nature of Patricia's work strengthens deeply unstable, purposefully inconstant and with a clear desire to trace the invisible layers in a space inhabited by characters who are, at one time, spectators and agents of their own involuntary actions.
